This past week, students pushed themselves and it is paying off. After thinking of an envrinoment that they could draw in one point perspective, they set to work. These are all very unique and off to a great start!

Sadly, this group has missed a few classes due to scheduling lately, but they have been working diligently to catch up. This past week, they continued to color in and complete their illuminated letters. Some even added glitter, to give their work a special finishing touch.
I also talked with the group about one point perspective as a technique that helps to create an illusion of space. Students learned about the horizon line and vanishing point and used a worksheet to practice drawing shapes in perspective. They also began to brainstorm ideas for their next project. I've asked students to create a space using one point perspective. This space could be indoors or outdoors, but needs to have the objects drawn in perspective, receding towards the vanishing point. I'm excited to see this work unfold! |
